I used high-quality materials to create a realistic oil painting on canvas of a stunning rock island in Raja Ampat. This particular island, while not home to actual nudibranchs, has a unique shape that reminds me of these beautiful sea creatures. I dove in Raja Ampat in 2016 and took a photo of the island as reference for my painting.

The painting is a blend of realism and style, capturing the intricate details of the rocks and the vibrant colors of the surrounding water. The use of oil paint adds depth and richness to the painting, highlighting the unique textures of the island.

Overall, my goal with this piece was to capture the beauty and wonder of the underwater world in a unique and visually stunning way. The result is a one-of-a-kind artwork that showcases the power and majesty of nature.
